WLIFW: Nitin Bal Chauhan

Nitin Bal's collection, 'Waiting for yellow' couldn't have been more colorful! His 'goth-meets-preppie princess-meets-Alice in psychedelia' look is what defined the collection. Plaids, checks, neons, they were all there as were the accessories in terms of bags, hats etc. The clothes were structured and cheeky.

The designer seem to be fond of tailored garments and volume. I like the black & white coat with hints of red, the purple bermuda high waisted shorts with the interesting textures and the hemline of the white dress could have been little less broad. The red dress is different to the usual dresses but sleeves have to be mended. Tights in different colours are still doing rounds this year, and they are to stay for a while.
The black blazer with slits, and black & pink colonial style pant with that hat make the model look short and frumpy. The yellow jacket's hem shouldn't have been cropped, the set could have been one piece garment.
