WLIFW: Rathore Jodhpur By Raghavendra Rathore

As the label suggests, there were plenty of jodhpurs on display at Raghavendra Rathore's collection for his label "Jodhpur". The menswear consisted of fitted jackets over smartly tailored jodhpurs in whites and blacks. The womens wear had dresses, tunics, skirts in beige, yellow, plum and burgundy.

The focus is on daywear or outdoor events, and there’s nothing new, especially on menswear. The chain link prints on the womenswear may be the highlight, but it’s seen in Gucci, Versace and Stella McCartney. The yellow dress looks like a kaftan and the model next to it looks frumpy.

Fabulous stuff...what Nepali said about the print being seen in other designers might be true to some extent but what is important is that it is a unique print with similar elements but completely distinct styling, and look - thats like telling foreign designers that when they use indian elements in their design that we've seen it all in india before.

Overall the clothes are classic, elegant and very chic. They would bring out the best in the person wearing them
