WLIFW: Monisha Jaisingh

Monisha Jaisingh's collection was a smart and very wearable collection. She had mini skirts, tunics, pants and jackets, pieces of clothings that every woman pretty much owns. Sequined jackets and tunics and reptile prints on beige were the main features of the collection.

love the jacket Carol is wearing. love the clothes. They are very international.

Both the designs and fabrics are outdated, and pretty boring.

Really!!Outdated!!! Wow !! Not really, Monisha who is a pal, sells abroad, and obviously well for many years, would definitely know the trends abroad. She has made this collection for what is called the "cruise" collection, something p-y-t all over the world wear when on luxury yatchs all over the world.

Why is a cruise collection showcased under Fall 2008? Anyway that apart, the collection does suit for a cruise collection, except the fifth garment, however I don't find the silhouettes new and the fabrics have been around for a while, even those gold metallic. It is a commercial collection so it would sell, creativity wise, there isn't anything new or risk taken.
