Marshana Goes Indian Again!

I am addicted to the show, "The Bachelor". I love seeing the women go from swooning over the guy one minute to hating him to the core the moment they are cut. It is just such a funny show! This season has been a tad bit more inneresting though.

Marshana, one of the ladies, has been sporting Indian attire and jewelry since the beginning of the show. Last night, the woman put on a yellow sari complete with indian jewelry. If you missed it, she also wore a gold lehenga on the very first episode this season.

Being that she is a fashion designer, I give her some kudos for her effort but I don't think she pulls it off that well.

What say?

You can catch last nights' episode here.

Not Just One!

We spotted Kahkashan wearing another outfit from Prashant Verma's Spring 2008 collection. Has the lady not heard the phrase: "Everything in moderation!"

In Her Closet

I have to say I loved Gucci's Resort and Spring 2008 collection, which is why Roohi's Gucci skirt from Resort 2008 caught my eye while reading the news. I hope we get to see more people wear more pieces from both the collections!

Shine Some Light

Art Donovan designed this lamp called the Siddhartha Pod Lantern, his first in a style known as Steampunk which combines technology with Victorian sensibilities.

This lamp crafted from solid brass, copper and mahogany, stands over four feet tall and sells for (gasp) $23,000!!

Fab or Drab?

Alexander McQueen Fall 08

Alexander McQueen after a trip to India, drew inspiration from the many images of Queen Victoria, the Duke of Wellington, the then Indian Empire and forties/fifties British couture as worn by Elizabeth II and translated it all beautifully into his collection for Fall 2008 ready-to-wear.

There were exquisite dresses, play on saris, severely cut military tailcoats, brocade suits, crisp high-necked shirts, period inspired shoes and millions of dollars' worth of antique Indian jewelry!

A brilliant, brilliant show in all.

Katrina: Mellow Yellow

After making several appearances in indian attire, Katrina showed up in a pale yellow gown for the Miss India 2008 finals. A certain Mrs. Khan should learn how to wear yellow from this lady!

Kajol In Manish Malhotra

At a special screening of "U, Me Aur Hum" in Delhi, Kajol upped the style quotient by wearing a blue Manish Malhotra creation.

Off late, she has shown a vast improvement in her choice of clothes. Is it because she has to promote the movie? Well, we will have to wait and watch, won't we?

Dia in Ritu Kumar

I love that Shaina has innovative ways of tying a sari but do I care for her designs? Ummm.. not so much. What do you think of the white one on Dia.

Updated: I mistakenly wrote that both saris were by Shaina. That isn't the case.

Tabu In Priyadarshini Rao

Tabu roped in Priyadarshini Rao to create a "sizzling" look for her appearance at the Miss India 2008 finals, because she was bored of beiges and whites.

So, the question is, did she "sizzle" enough or not so much?

I loved that she let the dress shine and kept her makeup and hair simple!
