The Shetty sisters were spotted out shopping, and a lil' Birkin caught our eye!



Also, while we think the Fendi skinny belt is super cute, way more so than the Fendi Large B Buckle Belt, the way Shilpa is flaunting it is just not fly! It screams, look I have a label on! Seriously, what is with lifting the tee right over the buckle? Poser!

When we first posted this chocolate croc Hermes Birkin from the Spring '08 collection, little did we think that we would find a similar one on the arms on anyone anytime soon! (excluding Victoria Beckham ofcourse!) Now we are excited and at the same time sad to report that we caught Natasha Poonawalla strutting a similar "Birkin" at the Indian Oaks 2008 event.

Why are we sad? Cuz she has a "Birkin" and we don't!

Thats a picture of Katie Holmes and Shweta Bachchan, both carrying the extremely coveted Hermes Birkin bag in red...

A Birkin, is a Birkin, whats not to love?

But, and there is always a but, I just think that Katie's Birkin is a bit too big! I mean really, it does take the 'over-sized bag' thing a bit too far! It is obscene! Shweta's on the other hand, is "just right"!! I know, I feel like Goldilocks too when I say that, but really!

Shweta Bachchan Nanda sure gives Madhoo a run for her money..or.. should we say Birkin. Her red birkin and casual style are such a far cry from the poorly dressed Madhoo and her tan Birkin.

When Just Money Won't Do

Money can just about buy anything! Even a Birkin. But style? That'd be a no dahlinks!!

Take one look at Madhoo only to know! A birkin she has. But look at the way she turned out for the Sabyasachi party at the Lakme India Fashion Week, 2008 (picture on the right)!! Style, she has not.

An ugly printed top. An uglier belt. Work on the side seams of her pants, seems like some sort of whipstitching. Strange plastic'y, resin-like bangles on one of her hands. Tacky. Tacky. Tacky.

And people like her have Birkins. Its a cryin' shame.

Payal and I have just taken in a holiday weekend at Vegas with the girls and I happen to have come into some winnings. Albeit, tiny ones. But even then, guess where that money went?? To my, 'When-will-I-afford-a-Birkin-God?" Fund. Yes, such funds do exist, its no urban legend! Check these droolworthy Birkins from the Hermes 2008 Spring ready-to-wear show!

Chocolate will never look or taste the same again. Look at the first Birkin. Am having a serious case of 'I-Want'itis'!

That's Preity Zinta looking mighty fine at the Olay-Vogue Brunch at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, carrying a beautiful, droolworthy Hermes Birkin bag in an absolutely gorgeous shade of green! Pardon the cliche, but am envious, 'green' with envy, what else?!! (Ok, so her bangs are annoying but she's carrying a Birkin for goodness' sake!)

When The Labels Come Calling

The label sporting brigade was out in full force at the Lipton tea promotional event at spa and I couldn't help but flag down a couple of labels!

The picture below is of Nandita Mahtani carrying a Balenciaga bag which had caught on really big and fast with A listers and fashionistas alike, but that was a while ago and is so last season and an absolute 'has-been' now!

And then there is Madhoo carrying an Hermes Birkin Bag. The absolute lustworthy bag that costs upwards of thousands of dollars and where one has to be on a waitlist for months and months! And Madhoo has that bag, unbelievable! And how can one carry a Birkin and be dressed like that? Am speechless.
