The Yin And Yang Of Bag Sporting!!

After Sagarika's Coach, and Nandita's Balenciaga, we spotted both Coach and Balenciaga handbags on the Dutt sisters.

I was never on-board even when the Balenciaga 'Motorcycle' Bag hit its iconic 'It' bag status (quite a while ago), but compared to that hideous patchwork Coach, I'd take anything! But maybe next time Namrata can take her sister Priya, bag shopping?

P.S: How funny is the fact that at the book reading session of ‘MR and MRS Dutt: Memories of our Parents’ at the Oxford book store, Namrata Dutt couldn't resist picking up a copy of Vogue?

We have seen Nandita Mahtani repeat her skirt and that Fendi B Belt, again, and again, and again! So of course it came as no surprise when we spotted her again during the Lakme Fashion Week in the famed skirt and belt!! But you'd think at her own show (pic, above), she'd have gone with something else!!

Bag Chic!!

Spotted Nandita Mahtani at the unveiling of Lakme Fashion Week's designers and sponsors. And while she was as usual impeccably turned out, it was hard not to notice the Bottega Veneta Cabat that she was carrying that almost made us skip a beat!

Its no secret we love the Birkin but a close second is Bottega Veneta for its sophisticated, understated, timeless appeal, and it always surprises me when I see people carry the over-logo'fied junk out there over the more understated yet way more chic choices. Both Payal and I own Bottegas (not the Cabat though, but it sure is on our wish list!) and don't think we ever, ever get tired of them!

It is pretty obvious that Nandita loves her Fendi B belt, but, now Nandita seems to be addicted to another item of clothing!

We have already seen her wearing the beige version of the skirt (seen on the right) again and again. Wonder how many times we will see her in the darker one? ;)

On the left, thats Nandita Mahtani at the opening of Bollywood Mischief and on the right, there she is again, spotted at the Lakme India Fashion Week in the exactly same outfit, once more! While its heartening to see celebrities repeat their clothes too, but twice in less than a month, that too at events you know you will be photographed is not exactlly fly, is it?

Thats Nandita Mahtani at Bollywood Mischief which opened its doors recently in Bandra! I loved how the belt absolutely pops, and takes the outfit to a whole new level, which otherwise was quite neutral and boring!

The belt in question? Its a Fendi Large B Buckle Belt and seems quite popular with the celebs!

The label sporting brigade was out in full force at the Lipton tea promotional event at spa and I couldn't help but flag down a couple of labels!

The picture below is of Nandita Mahtani carrying a Balenciaga bag which had caught on really big and fast with A listers and fashionistas alike, but that was a while ago and is so last season and an absolute 'has-been' now!

And then there is Madhoo carrying an Hermes Birkin Bag. The absolute lustworthy bag that costs upwards of thousands of dollars and where one has to be on a waitlist for months and months! And Madhoo has that bag, unbelievable! And how can one carry a Birkin and be dressed like that? Am speechless.
