The Thin Line

Its the good old beige sari with some silver work but while one made it look even less ordinary, the other elevated it by just sheer class. Need we say who fell in what category?

Queenie Dhody

*Sigh* How does Sharmila do it? I wish today's stars could have a fraction of her beauty, poise and elegance! You guys should do a special on her on the sets of Dhoom Macha De- she looks breathtaking!

I saw some other pics of the shobhaa de launch and though queenie was looking ultra-glam. On another note but regarding the same event I liked how Tina Ambani wore a dramatic red lipstick to offset her drab white outfit and chubby arms

atleast this time ms dhody got rid of her tight short skirts that i think she borrows from her teenage neighbours!!!!

Oow , Queenie is a pal, and I think looks great for her age, especially since she has grown up teenage kids.

To Queenie's Pal:

Ever heard of mothers trying to outshine their daughters, well your pal is high on the list. She gets tough competition from Feroz Gujral tough…

As for the sari, Queenie is trying too hard to look sexy and glam, on the other hand Mrs. Tagore is effortlessly elegant.

HAHAHAHAHHAH boodhi ghodi HAHAHAH woww that was hilarious!

sharmila is one of the classiest ladies around..why can't todays actresses learn something from her and hema malini?

well, if today's actresses learn from them then they would be called old fashioned. E.g. Aish, Rani and Vidya are very dignified when they dress up in saree, but that is considered boring by most people. What do you think ?

hey moon,

i agree with you that todays actresses cant dress exactly like the older actreses, but what i meant was that they should learn something about grace and elegance and how to carry outfits off in general. i think maybe sonali kulkarni and mallika sherawat could def. use some tips. agree that ash, rani and Vidya look classy in sarees! :)

I agree with sunshine. Although Rani's makeup tends to be a bit loud at times, but yeah those 3 look lovely in saris. Karisma Kapoor and Tabu also look classy.

One old-timer who really needs to clean up her act is Rekha. She looks like a chalta firta Xmas tree :-p

XMas tree! ROFL

btw, WHO is this Queen Dhodi and who's her daughter? I had never heard of her until this blog!

Queenie is one of those Page 3 perennials. She is an ex Miss India and writes a shoddy column for Mumbai Mirror.

Digressing - and I am one of those who prefers that we only talk fashion on this blog but I have to admit Queenie is probably more than just a socialite. I don't even live in India but from what I hear she has a Bachelors and a Masters in Mathematics. I would call that very impressive. Don't know her but I thought the "boodhie ghodi" comment was in bad taste.

yep agree, becos I am sure that lady who wrote it is also growing OLDER not younger ...touche
