Two major back to back events and we saw Shilpa carry two different Leiber clutches to them. While, at the first one her clutch seemed to disappear in that printed dress, this time it sure didn't!

Birkin Baby!

The Shetty sisters were spotted out shopping, and a lil' Birkin caught our eye!



Also, while we think the Fendi skinny belt is super cute, way more so than the Fendi Large B Buckle Belt, the way Shilpa is flaunting it is just not fly! It screams, look I have a label on! Seriously, what is with lifting the tee right over the buckle? Poser!

(But it worked, we noticed!)

We have seen sisters dress alike before, even own the same thing in different colors but wearing the same dress?

The shetty sisters, both chose to wear this ghastly floral dress, why, it beats me! Shilpa Shetty wore it at her perfume launch in London and then later I spotted the same dress on Shamita as well!!

Stuff with which nightmares are made of!

I guess their taste extends to bags too!! Spotted different versions of the Fendi Spy on both of them (Shilpa Shetty backstage at Rafta Rafta, Shamita Shetty at a calendar launch)

Lusting For Louis

The recent appearance of Ms. Shetty at Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 08 show at Paris Fashion Week got me thinking of her and her Louis Vuitton obsession...

Don't believe me, just look at the number of times we have seen her with Louis Vuitton bags...

I hate the monogram else I'd definitely be calling this quite an enviable collection...

The apple sure doesn't fall far from the tree! We've spotted Mommy Shetty carry a LV or two herself, so maybe thats where Shilpa gets it from?

Guess Who Made It To Front Row?

Spotted Shilpa Shetty at the Louis Vuitton Fall 08 show!! Its the Paris Fashion Week and she was front row!!

While its normal for front-row attendees to wear or carry something from the designer whose show they are attending...I just have to fault Shilpa's stole! Is the monogrammed shawl the best she could do? Really?

Also, check her arm candy out... She is carrying the LV Joke Bag (thats what it is called!)! The bag has jokes by Henny Youngman and the logo is designed by artist Richard Prince, who is known for his Jokes series work pertaining to sexual frustrations and middle-class American mentality. And so the bag has quite a bit of sexist jokes on it and is called 'The Joke Bag'! Made the connection?

You might scoff at her 'Big Brother' tide of fame but look where it got her and hey if she is front-row at Paris Fashion Week, she gets top billing from us! It might be Kareena who wants to be like Victoria Beckham but look who has an 'in' with Marc Jacobs!! Let the claws come out!

Shade Spotting

We spotted the hottest shades of last year, the Tom Ford "Whitney" on quite a few of our Indian fashionistas too.

While Aishwarya and Gauri have had them way before these shades became all the rage, Shilpa was caught wearing them much much after.

I can't say much except the fact that I absolutely hate the dress. Its so tacky. And the same old jewelled accent that Tahiliani has been doing for ages now. You think he'll ever get over it?

Shetty And The X Factor

The pictures are of Shilpa Shetty attending the One X One annual benefit gala in Toronto, accompanied by Richard Gere, to who she will also be presenting the One X One difference award, given to individuals who dedicate their lives to fighting child poverty.

The look seems to work for her but I wish she had gone with closed shoes instead of those open toed monsters. And seriously, enough of those gigantic earrings already! Sometimes, a little goes a far way. She could have so jazzed up that dress to a whole new level with diamond drops or even with evil sized solitaires..

All those resources, and yet...

Day 2: Tarun Tahiliani

What does one expect from a master couturier such as Tarun Tahiliani? Glam? Creativity and Imagination? Flowy and Sensual silhouettes? Beautiful fits and Structured clothes? And a dash of Panache perhaps? Of course. And he delivers. His collection was exactly what I expected it to be.

I have so many favorite pieces in this collection. For instance, how fabulous is the sari in white with a halter necked, sleeveless vest that buttons on the outside? Or that long flowy white kurta/tunic with the Grecian chord detailing and the churidaar! Beautiful! Am glad he moved away from bejewelling his clothes to actually using them as a print, digitally transferred am assuming! I loved how that effect looks on the tunic when paired with the churidaar!

Of course, the Jodhpurs made an appearance. I don't see how practical they ever are for non-derby wear, but there you have it! Jodhpurs made an appearance even in the Ashish Soni collection in the NY Fashion Week! Hmm.

And just when I was heaving a sigh of relief that thankfully this year, as far as the shows go till now, everyone strayed away from having Bollywood celebs get on the runway for them, Tarun Tahiliani goes and has Shilpa Shetty do exactly that for him! We'l just allow him that I suppose, since she has been a muse and graced his show last time around too! And she totally worked the runway!

Her outfit was a shimmering work of gold, though a dress, styled around the idea of a sari! She reminded me of an Egyptian princess, she was totally channeling Cleopatra, methinks!

The collection gets a thumbs-up! Masterfully crafted and effortlessly excecuted.
