Kareena and Katrina maybe hogging all the magazine covers, but Shilpa is also making some waves of her own. She is featured in the latest issue of Verve in all-yellow creations by Surily, Narendra Kumar Ahmed and Shantanu and Nikhil.

Isn't the Santanu and Nikhil dress just totally adorable! We have already seen a variation of the same style on Sameera and Celina.

Sameera In Shantanu-Nikhil!

For the Delhi premiere of "Race", Sameera chose to wear a pink strapless Shantanu-Nikhil dress. But, I am not ready to make a call on whether she looked better in this, since this is a sit down picture! Also, do I spot those ugly sandals again!?

Taking It East To West

After that disastrous styling that was inflicted upon Serena Williams at the opening of WTA Bangalore Open (below, left), anything would have been an improvement! The dress by Shantanu and Nikhil that she wore at the HP Notebook launch in Delhi (below, right) was such a far cry from that horrible 'velvet-blouse-paired-with-a-sari' look!

Am not convinced this was still the best choice of an outfit for her but I'll take this over that sari anyday...

I especially like the subtle jewelled accents on the dress, very chic!! If only the hemline went a bit more south...

Cricket Couture!

Yes, it has finally happened! Fashion has found its way into India's favorite sport.

Manish Arora and Shantanu-Nikhil were asked to design the outfits for the the eight leagues of the Indian Cricket League(ICL). While Manish designed for six teams — Chennai Superstars, Kolkata Tigers, Delhi Giants, Mumbai Champs, Hyderabad Heroes and Chandigarh Lions, Shantanu and Nikhil designed for two, Ahmedabad Rockets and Lahore Badhshahs.



Manish previewed his designs a few months ago, but Shantanu and Nikhil just recently revealed their designs.

While we love Manish to the core, I think the Chennai Superstars probably had a tad bit of a hard time slipping into theirs. They got the pink one, you see! ;)

Day 1: Shantanu And Nikhil

It doesn't happen that often but when it does, it happens with a blow! Am in love. Every outfit, every accessory, every ribbon, every detailing! Shantanu and Nikhil's collection was absolutely on the money! Their collection was called, 'Banaras Boulevard' but for me it just seemed like an updated version of Retro French Riviera! Buttery yellows, warm yellows, sunny yellows and pale yellows dominated the collection, now and then, offset by white perhaps!

The dresses were très chic and fabulous! For the champagne-brunching set, this collection will soon find its way into their wardrobes in a heartbeat! And those tops.. brilliant. Never overboard, just enough craftsmanship to make it stand out and just enough understated detailing to give it, its chic-appeal! And that puffed, bubble hem dress with the jacket? Priceless.

Loved the way the models were styled; make-up, hair, shoes, white-rimmed shades and oversized bags were spot on!

I tried really hard to find one thing to dislike. But couldn't. The collection was young, chic, tasteful, fresh and perfect!
