Both Deepa Mehta and Sridevi decided to go with somber greys!
While the former attended the reception of Vilasrao Deshmukh's son in Mumbai, the other attended the Marwah anniversary party in Delhi, but both in those dull color tones! Who fared better though?

Wendell Rodricks' Tranquility
I like Wendell Rodricks for his clean, simple lines, minimal, contemporary take on clothes. Famous for his whites and pastels and long favored by celebs like Malaika Arora, I was quite looking forward to his collection, 'Tranquility' that he recently showed in Delhi.
But he only left me disappointed. It was uninspired and boring. Neither was it a creative showcase for him, nor a commercial winner, instead it tread somewhere between safe and boring.
In fact, the only 'tranquil' part of it for me was when I visualized the moolah I just saved by not wanting to rush out to buy his clothes!

The Good, Good Earth

I absolutely adore The Good Earth store in Khan Market, Delhi. They have the most amazing collection of silk cushions (among other things)!
I saw these most amazing long and narrow silk cushions with a print that was very reminiscent of Warhol-pop-culture-kitsch! They had these cushions with multiple turban clad, mustached men or ones with mughal era/courtesan dancers in those Warhol'esque, multiple color, pop prints! Absolutely fabulous I tell you! I couldn't find pictures but for more information, go Here! Or if you happen to live in Delhi (or wherever else the stores are), head there! Really.
